Gail Williams is a native of Western New York State . She has lived in San Francisco, New York and Atlanta, finally settling in the mountains of beautiful western North Carolina near Asheville.

Gail's interest in art developed early in school and was fueled by a circle of very creative friends and teachers. Over the years she has continued to develop her skills in workshops by nationally known artists and by taking classes when ever time from her job would allow.

In 2001 Gail left her career of 23 years with British Airways, and was finally able to pursue her art full time.

Gail is a contemporary artist working in acrylics, mixed media and encaustic. She is influenced by her life experiences and the natural environment she lives in. Though her media and themes are varied, all reflect her love for deep, saturated and contrasted colors.

Gail has exhibited through out the South East and in Arizona. Her paintings are held in private collections in the US and England.
She lives with her husband John, “Danny”, “Zeke” and her 20 year old parrot, Cairo.
